Ricky Burdett

Professor of Urban Studies, London School of Economics
I’m a professor of Urban Studies at the London School of Economics and I’m Director of a research centre there called LSE Cities. As an urbanist, I’m interested in cities, and I’m interested in the connections between the shape of the city, its social structure (who inhabits it, and how) and the environmental impact those cities have, not only on the inhabitants of the cities themselves, but on the ecology and well-being of the planet.
