I'm Professor of Greek Literature at the University of Cambridge. I'm co-director of Humanity’s Urban Future programme and a fellow of the British Academy. My research areas are in Greek literature and culture of all periods and also in Victorian Britain, the history of sexuality, the history of culture and what makes a good city of the future.
