I’m the Chair of Cognitive Psychology at the University of Bristol, and I research why some people support misinformation over science.

I am a cognitive scientist with an interest in computational modeling. I currently study the persistence of misinformation in society, and how myths and misinformation can spread, specifically those that rise in opposition to scientific fact, as we see with the lies and misconceptions surrounding climate change or vaccines.
