Emeritus Professor, Educational Technology,
I am the Emeritus Professor of Educational Technology at The Open University, where we adapt technology to facilitate learning. My research involves human-centered design of new technologies and environments for learning, focusing on adapting and developing new technology and socio-technical systems to facilitate learning, such as the use of mobile devices. My main current interest is ‘citizen inquiry’ – a fusion of citizen science and inquiry-based learning.
