Paul Betts

Professor of Modern European History, University of Oxford
I’m Professor of Modern European History at St. Antony’s College, Oxford. I’m a historian of modern Europe. I’ve been interested in the interface between cultural and political history over the course of my career. I have a long-standing interest in German cultural history, which has expanded to a broader idea of European cultural history and to thinking about Europe’s changing place in a post-Cold War world.
