I am the OII Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Information at the University of Oxford, where I direct the Digital Ethics Lab.

I am a philosopher of a particular kind; my research concerns digital technologies and their impact on our ideas and our lives, on things like ethics, politics, knowledge and science. Nothing that pertains to the digital is alien to me, and I find philosophy helpful in every context where the digital at large is making a difference.
