John Alderdice

Director of CRIC,
I am a Senior Research Fellow and Director of the Centre for the Resolution of Intractable Conflict at Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford. I am a Member of the House of Lords, and as an academic I’ve really been preoccupied for many years with understanding why people behave in violent and self-destructive ways, not just as individuals, but as whole communities. It’s of course about politics; but also what one might call ‘large group psychology’.
