Henrietta Moore

Director of the Institute for Global Prosperity, Chair in Culture Philosophy and Design, University College London
I am the Founder and Director of the Institute for Global Prosperity and Chair in Culture, Philosophy and Design at University College London (UCL). I am a distinguished anthropologist and cultural theorist, actively challenging traditional economic models of growth. I argue that communities, businesses, and governments must engage collaboratively with local diversity and operate within environmental limits to flourish. I have led the creation and launch of the UCL Citizen Science Academy, a body through which academics are training and equipping members of the public to conduct community-based research that can guide policy making and drive social change. My recent work crosses topics such as new economic models and paradigms, Universal Basic Services, AI for social purpose, environmental sustainability and natural capital accounting.
