Dr Nivi Manchanda is a Professor of Global Politics at Queen Mary, University of London. She is interested in questions of race, empire, and gender. She was awarded the 2024 Philip Leverhulme Prize in Politics and International Relations. Her research project: “Imagining the Border Otherwise: Global engagements with solidarity, relationality and survival” is an original and intellectually urgent project that addresses the question of whether, and in what ways, the border matters beyond its physical infrastructure. This project is funded by the AHRC.
